5th Open Evening promotional material

Background

As AWOL Studios residents, Transmission were asked to design an invitation to promote the creative hub's 5th Open Evening. Typically we went one step further and produced a poster and video!

Our idea was simply to create the number of the Open Evening, in this case '5', using objects such as a pencil, tube of paint, tools etc. used by the diverse range of creative studios. For future Open Evenings, other AWOL Studios residents will be invited to interpret the next number in the series.

Yoshi brand development - Photography

Background

Lichfield Leather's Yoshi brand is a kooky collection of handbags and purses. Our brief was to give the brand its own personality and individual identity, reflecting the design, originality and playfulness of this youthful and vibrant brand. We created a fun environment within which to shoot the range of products, using large printed graphics, 3D objects and astroturf! These shots will be used across advertising, websites and promotional material.

Impact

"I was impressed with how quickly Transmission got to grips with our brands, gaining a thorough understanding of how each brand functioned and who it was aimed at. Transmission's creative thinking really opened our eyes to the potential of what could be achieved, and we're already feeling a positive business impact from the new material they've produced."

Tumble & Hide brand development - Photography

Background

Lichfield Leather's Tumble & Hide brand is a collection of Italian-inspired handbags, wallets and accessories. Our brief was to give the brand its own personality and individual identity, reflecting the design, craftsmanship and quality of materials of this premium brand. We shot the photographs on location in a traditional leather workshop for greater authenticity and these shots will be used across advertising, websites and promotional material.

Detour brand development - Photography

Background

Lichfield Leather's Detour brand is a cool, urban collection of bags, wallets and Oyster cards. Our brief was to give the brand its own personality and individual identity, reflecting the rugged, cool feel of the brand. We created a loft apartment set within which to shoot the range of products, using objects referencing music, sport and popular culture that the brand's audience would identify with. These shots will be used across advertising, websites and promotional material.

Projecting stability through change

Project

Re-brand

Background

GMCVO approached us to revitalise their corporate identity and communications. Our objective was to create a simple, modern and flexible brand to project key themes of stability, trust and authority against a backdrop of change within the Third Sector.

Impact

"Transmission Creative have been good to work with. From the start they developed a professional approach, working hard to establish our needs before progressing to the next stage of brand development. They produced a simple but effective solution to the brief that we feel reflected the values and image we wished to project. Their attention to detail has also proved valuable when producing subsequent promotional materials and publications."

35 year anniversary / awards submission

Background

We were approached to help create a bespoke family album to both celebrate the company’s 35 year anniversary and to act as their submission for company of the year. With 3 weeks and no previous relationship with the client we really had our work cut out! But just in the nick of time we produced a beautifully crafted, individually boxed momento of the company’s rich heritage within interior design.

Impact

They won 'company of the year'. The awards judge commented...

“We have been genuinely impressed by the standard of entries we have received for these awards. Of course the quality of presentation of an award entry is far from the be all and end all of our judges decision-making process. One entry however, stood out for us in terms of presentation and also content."

My Generation - Over 50s music event

Background

We were approached by legendary Manchester music institution, Band on the Wall, to create an iconic image for a unique new club night for the over 50s.

Supported by the Valuing Older People Unit at Manchester City Council, the aim was to give older people who feel excluded from today's club culture in central Manchester the opportunity to have a great night out, meet like minded people and rediscover their youth. Our solution was to create a hand-crafted, customised tartan shopping trolley, bedecked with badges and patches of bands such as The Beatles, Stones, Herman's Hermits, Hendrix, Northern Soul etc.

Graphic walls in schools - Offerton High and Parklands CLC

Background

After creating the name and brand for our client 4D creative, they in turn asked us to create large format graphics to be used within their immersive learning spaces within schools.

The graphics not only provide storage space, but act as a stylish backdrop to the space and serve as educational tools in their own right.

Impact

"The doors look fantastic! You could stand in front of them for hours looking into the pictures and the tone of the top half is great because when the lights play around they disappear. Perfect. Thanks again for doing such a thorough and clever job, really appreciate your skills."
